Sumitomo Rubber also states that the tyre ranks among the most energy-efficient tyres the company has produced.

In later OE applications, the e. SPORT MAXX was selected as factory-standard fitment for vehicles such as the Toyota Crown Sedan and Toyota C-HR+ in some markets. Sumitomo Rubber says these applications benefit from reduced road noise through an optimized tread pattern and lower rolling resistance from a new tread compound, while still balancing wet performance and steering stability. That gives the e. SPORT MAXX a very clear premium EV positioning: efficient, quiet, and stable rather than simply sporty in the traditional petrol-car sense.
